7 Facts about us:
Number one has to be the most exciting thing in our lives at the moment. We have just become first-time grandparents to beautiful little Rupert. There’s nothing else to say, really.
We live in a very small town (around 80 people) which suits us nicely. It’s close enough to the things we need and far enough away from the things we want to be far away from.
We are both a bit afraid of heights. The difference is that Jenny will climb things. Stu won’t.
We love to travel. No great surprise there, since this is a travel blog. We try to do one overseas trip each year. Time and money sometimes limit our ability to reach this goal but we do our best. Meanwhile, there’s a lot of Australia left to see. Distance is the biggest hurdle to overcome, even here at home.
We once slept on a friend’s bathroom floor – because the house was so small that was the only spare spot to stretch out. Three floors, 3 rooms. Very quaint but just a bit too small for me to live in.
We welcome random travellers into our home through hosting sites Hospitality Club, Couchsurfing and Warm Showers. It’s a great way to experience other cultures without leaving home.
Our kids are even crazier than us. Be afraid!
And the nominees are:
Story Time with John
Wise Monkeys Abroad
The Rambling Reed
Insight from a Woman’s Heart
Pursuit of Happiness
The Girl in the Little Black Dress
